The Clinical Specialists teach, mentor, and provide assistance to Premier clinicians to assist with their professional growth and development. A few of the numerous topics covered are: evaluation and assessment skills, implementation of plans of care, caseload management, knowledge of state and federal regulations, customer service, Medicare guidelines, best practices, and treatment approaches.

Clinical Specialists: Kathleen B. and Miriam A.

 

Kathleen B., MHS, LSW, COTA/L
Kathleen currently functions as a Clinical Specialist for Premier Therapy LLC. She received her graduate degree in Health Sciences as well as an undergraduate degree in the rehabilitation profession more than 20 years ago as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). In addition to her position as a Clinical Specialist, which includes responsibilities of education, training, and program development, Ms. Bearfield also teaches at Cleveland State University in the Masters' of Occupational Therapy program (MOT) and the undergraduate Health Sciences program. She has more than 15 years experience in both adult and pediatric programming in a variety of settings.

Miriam A., P.T. GCS
Miriam currently holds a position as a Clinical Specialist with Premier Therapy LLC. Miriam graduated from Ohio State University in 1974 with her bachelor's degree in Allied Medicine majoring in Physical Therapy. She became a certified Clinical Specialist in Geriatrics in 1998. Miriam has extensive experience in working with the geriatric population in various venues and has also taught various courses to therapists on the topics of documentation, HIPAA, Medicare, and PPS.

Julie B., MS CCC/CLP
Julie Bellucci graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Speech and Hearing Disorders, and from Clarion University with a M.S. in Speech/Language Pathology.  She has 15 years experience in geriatrics, specializing in dysphagia and cognitive-linguistic disorders.
